Breaking the trend now..! Bear BBQ and Audrina's carnival-themed 1st birthday. We're only invited to work, and we're paid in food/beer, which is completely fine by us. The babies are soososososososo cute. CC's (& erika's, apparently) at busby's. Joe's sushi compensated for the ridiculous wait by generously giving out free beers. Every restaurant should adopt this practice since we barely minded the 1.5+ hr wait and loved the $21.95 AYCE. The large sake in exchange for some digits wasn't half bad either (barter system?).

A very rough week and a half. Thank GOD for friends/family/fdrinks/fun. Busby's for jdu's and I was surprisingly a very white swan! Considering it was still during the NIH period, I was even impressed by myself. Can't really say the same for the following black swan weekend in vegas, but whatever, it was bound to come out. Literally felt like I died and saw angels like alz did that one weekend. Wahhh just thankful no one visited Sunrise last weekend. We should really know better by know with TAO's open bar, but whatever cause we still got ittttttt! Marquee 2 nights in a row, the 1st with the DJ who thought she was hot stuff and Chuckie and the 2nd with Paul Van Dyk (how unfortunate to have a last name dyk...) and SD SWANS!!!!! How 5/6 of us ended up in the same shithole relatively around the same time still boggles my mind, but esta bien cause we got it never lost it lovelovelove it. Then I wake up with hives and text messages...?!

Mmm.. actions>words/ realism vs. idealism/ pretending ignorance vs. stupidity/ fighting to win vs. fighting for it/ crazy bitches whose mamas never taught them better than that.

My 72 hours of NIH is officially up, and man was it a good 72 hours. I am officially a part of the domino effect, but it's gonna be ok. At times like these, I really think I should pay my friends. Like, the love and wisdom and courage I get from them is just unbelievable and I'm so grateful and appreciative. I know exactly where I'm gonna go as it happens (straight for debo's bed, tissue and soju in hand), with Elliot hugging me and BK staring at me as I sleep. I get calls/texts of damage control as soon as word spreads - it's amazing, really. I'm allowed to be an emotional wreck, but I'm forced to be logical and realistic. Jean will call me half-asleep, cry with me, and dance with me like the bestfriend that she is, and Patty & Sharon will preach to me, steal my vodka tonic (hehehe), and let me unleash over papaya salad and half & half, even as I wear un-matching sandals. Elsie is still the best sister in the world and knows exactly what to say over the phone, text, and email.

My big brudda is the smartest/kindest guy I know, and I'm the luckiest little sister in the world. Great listener and great advice, and he's single. Any takers? Even my LR brother who I've only known since the beginning of employment was able to comfort me and 'let me do my thang' (via AIM while we sit facing each other, of course), and he promises to bring fruit snacks tomorrow tehee.

One of the most eye-opening talks last night, and it's amazing how she was able to literally take the words/thoughts right out of my mind and present them in the most discerning way. It's like I had these internal thoughts of my own and then they alllll got resurfaced from an outsider, meaning, how obvious have they been!? I'm in this constant battle with my college-self and post-college self. Ccollege awu still wants to party and play and go out every night and NOT be a grandma (hence how offended I was when I was called gma..!), but post-college awu still needs to balance full-time work + tutoring more hours than I worked in college + living at home and trying (failing) to be an obedient daughter + not being 'one of those girlfriends' that I hate + breathing. And apparently I can't do it? But I'm in so much denial and this really can't be healthy and although I sleep 8 hours a night, I'm not really rested..?! These thoughts were/are still so foreign to me. Because I'm so stubborn and I can't really say no and I have ISSUES.

I remember the first time I had these thoughts when my boss asked me what I liked to do in my free time. My natural reaction was "what free time..?" But I refrained from such a rushed response, and I said "I used to dance..." And I noticed how I subconsciously used the past tense, clearly indicating that I no longer dance and no longer really have free time..? But I think it's more that I don't really have hobbies?? And then I said, "well, I tutor on nights & weekends..?" HOW PATHETIC.

I don't wanna be a grandma! I don't wanna grow up! I don't wanna be bitchy!

I never knew this was an actual disease/phobia, and now I am officially a freak. So I discovered this while I was doing my daily blog reads and my cousin posted about it! She even posted a pic.. ballsy! But then I was reading about it all day (and cringing/gagging at the photos) and it could possibly be genetic. SO IS THAT WHY BOTH MY COUSIN AND I ARE HOLE/DOT FREAKS?? I'm so perturbed.

And my popo told me to stop being emotional today. And I've actually been thinking about it recently, and I really do need to stop being so freaking emotional. It never ceases to amaze me how well my grandma knows me, even though she's got 60yrs on me. I guess it's 60yrs of womanly wisdom. AND I've come to the realization that I have a progressively low tolerance for bullshit. Like, I used to be told that I was too nice just a year ago, and now, it's like I have little to no tolerance for fluff and petty things. Is that mean? Overcompensation? I think I'm just being realistic here, right? Oh man, spoken like a true bitch.. -_-

Today was a day of many realizations that I've come to terms with. I'm a bitchy, emotional, trypophobe. EW.

Popo looks like Christmas, and gonggong has the most ridiculous bunny hat on. It's those bunnies that used to be on everything they sold at Anchor Blue and Claire's. And when I asked him WHY he was wearing that hat, he said it's cool because it's the year or the rabbit. I have no idea where he got the hat, and I refuse to take credit for it. But they're so cute and make me very, very heppy.

There's this apparent domino effect going on amongst the friends and I don't appreciate it. As unrealistic and idealistic as it may be, I just wish everyone could hold hands and start a love train. I'm a brat, but I don't care! Hmph.

Biggest burrito I've ever seen in my life for the Superbowl. Upstairs 2 and Ruth's Chris for DineLA. Four locas at Busby's, car accidents and all. Valentine's Day weekend with Ethiopian food that I.. wasn't too fond of. Went back and ate ice cream and cheez its haha. SD for Steph's 22nd where we all acted like it was our birthdays. Cotixan's is good in any shape/form, and El Pescador.. mmm...!!

8a flight was a bit rough, as was the turbulence, but clear skies allowed us to land earlier than anticipated. Since when did they stop feeding you on domestic flights? Not that I fly nearly enough to notice, but still. I was really hungry! Thank goodness for fruit snacks!

Literally got wined and dined upon arrival. After receiving gift boxes and chocolate covered strawberries in the room, that is. I've never had my own hotel room before, ever! I'm so used to cramming 3+ girls into 1 bed horizontally and waking up with numb limbs. This is so crazy and beyond me, I don't feel deserving. Full course dinner with wine and dessert to the point where I think my jean button will pop off if I exhale? And I'm typing this as I sit in my bathrobe after taking my hot bath teheee. I'm considering some yoga poses on the blanket that I've already laid down on the floor as a makeshift yoga mat. Maybe..

Did some minor damage at the Leesburg Premium Outlets with the burst of energy we got. 2.5% sales tax?! Uh, yes please!! More dining and stopped by Wegmans, their so-called "Disneyland" that people make day-long trips out of, but we could barely distinguish it from a Pavilions.. Sad times for them but it was funny for us haha.

I feel extremely lucky and I am extremely grateful.

El Alfabeto

Attempted to teach my mama the Spanish alphabet last night because she's taking Espanol 101 at CSUF (yup, she's transferred & upgraded! lucky for me...) Just imagine trying to teach my 1st generation Taiwanese parents to sing the El Alfabeto, with the military song repeatedly played on YouTube all night long. Oh, and my papa got a lovely surprise when my mom said

"I signed US up for the Spanish class at adult school at Stimson Park. Class starts next Monday. Don't worry, it's free!"

HAHA my poor daddy gets dragged down into everything. So just a couple nights ago, it was WWIII in the Wu house. I'm talking screaming and yelling and cursing and fighting and lots of ugly business. And then the water cools for a day, and we're all hugging and kissing and singing el alfabeto the following day. That's love. Or insanity. Or maybe a combination of the two.

I just got a work email from a man named Billyray from Orlando and it just gave me so many jollies. hehehehe

2010 has definitely been an eventful year, to say the least. Looking back and scanning pictures, I can only think about how lucky and blessed I've been this entire year.

Kumon. DKL PR internship. DTF. Tutoring. JOHN MAYER and didn't miss it this time! JOHN LEGEND. Oh hayyyy Liferay! 21 21 21 21 21. Cabana and fan face -_- Usher. David Ryan Harris (I definitely got my fix of sexy men in 2010). Liferay retreat and music videos. Lakers vs. Clippers with 100 section seats and Liferay on the jumbotron. Christmas and New Years with love.

What can I say? 2010 has been an intense year of learning, growing, and loving. And 2011 started off lovely (minus the ugly morning.. yikes) with Palm Springs. Idk if 2011 can match 2010, but I'm setting some pretty high expectations.

my tutoring girls are so cute. we've moved past sohcahtoa and onto boy problems. one girl has an almost identical bf/bf issue as the notorious one that still haunts me, and it's somewhat endearing. she texts for advice, but i avoid telling her how it ends (for her sake and mine). the other two tell me their 'type' and i wanna tell them to run. funny how the impressions last through the (graduating) classes. a 92 on her math exam made me prouder than a 92 has probably ever made me feel on my own. weird.

DKL internship- the most surreal internship I've done, and sadly for the shortest period of time. Nicest boss ever who spoiled me unbelievably. Birthday lunch in BevHills, Barney's to do 'research' and drool over bags/shoes/jewelry/people, bagels in Larchmont Village, house-admiring at Hancock Park, and it goes on. How it was only a few weeks, I'll never know but will be forever grateful.

Birthday- finally!!!!! Dinner at Tutti Mangia, Yardhouse- do your ears hang low? And My House with surprise guests from SD. La Boheme with Sharon & Patty and I was very heppy going to tutor. thankyouthankyouthankyou x1000 I feel the love.

Employment- pretty surreal also. What an amazing birthday gift. And ironic how everything turned out and the world continues to get smaller (granted, hacienda/rowland/db are very small cities..) Done with week 1 and I survived.

I'm so sad summer is ending and everyone is moving back to school.. except for me. I'm having major San Diego withdrawals, and they're beginning to make me really sad. Visited SD for a day, basically just to have lunch. Made it back to Soupy in time for Alz's fundraiser dinner. I'm really loving Round 1 as the new hangout hot spot just down the hill, which means I can get my slot machine fix anytime I want! Santa Monica Pier was the first I went back to SM in the last month and it was weird. Sushi Roku with the worker that said Domo arigato as we left.

Loving every single moment with the girls, even when we're completely ridiculous and play pool looking like fools. Started at Kumon and it's really got me reconsidering how many kids I want.. Private tutoring can lucrative, but I'm studying more now that I'm out of college than when I was still in! How I used to be so good at math, I now don't understand. Visited Nick with gonggong popo & wandered Chinatown. Popo had the time of her life hustling prices for shirts and oranges. Many jollies.

Laying down foundation has never been so gratifying. I've definitely gotta work on not being so plugged into technology. And time is running out!

DTF for Erika's 21st when it hit midnight. No more using Emily's Hawaii ID, leaving me & Debo in the underaged club all alone. Julie showed up and she is my sensei for life. Babies and boyfriends don't phase! LOL. She did make it really difficult to get up Friday morning for Jazz class though. Dancing sans jazz shoes was a really freaking stupid idea. Made my feets all brokes for Vegas for Erika's real celebration. I think I should live at the Palazzo/Venetian like Wayne Brady at this rate. TAO Friday night because open bar makes us really, really happy. Alz was the true rockstar and died on the toilet (literally.. she asked if she was in heaven and if I was an angel). CC was popping toe nails and I was popping blisters. Grand Lux with bf and bffs. Belaggio buffet where Debo was the dessert monster. Kacey's dick will forever be the biggest, with or without the long pillow. Acted like I was going to XS Saturday night even though I clearly wasn't. Kung Fu (omgyessss) on Sunday, Alien Beef Jerky, and no traffic! A complete weekend of happiness and immense jollies. Happy birthday to me PIC/bff!

Pursuit of Happiness

The best thing about working on Santa Monica's 3rd Street Promenade is exactly that. Happy hours come at a convenience to dodge rush hour traffic, like Yankee Doodles & Angelato with Dlee & Jwong. Happily quit GM after big (brown, I'm assuming) asshole cussed me out over the phone like he hadn't gotten any in much too long. Jade Entertainment would be ideal work for me if my Chinese wasn't so terrible. Luckily my conversational skills are somewhat competent, but not being able to read/write has sent me back to Rio Hondo with a class that could be easily confused with an espanol class.

Vegas (on Friday the 13th) for Arthur's 22nd birthday. Wasn't nearly as shitshow-like as last year, but still good times. First time staying at the Wynn and it was niiiiiiice. TAO the first night and womp on the second night. I think Vegas should start paying me for going so damn much. Terrace Point Cafe for brunch before 6hr traffic was much needed. Orochon Ramen with Eric and Maiko and the real Japanese said the bowls were 'American Sized' LOL. Explains a lot, really. And my brother and Pat are neighbors? Crazy! 3 Divas Press Conference and again, I wished my Chinese was better.

Helped Jenn set up her Kindergarten classroom a few weeks back, and I hadn't had so much fun with gluesticks and putty in so long. DTF has revolutionized our Thursdays nights in amazing ways. UCB comedy show gave me many jollies. Hayden's 1 year birthday party and I was overwhelmed with baby galore. I love babies babies babies!

John Mayer concert at the Hollywood Bowl on 8/22 and we pre-gamed like we were headed to the other side of Hollywood. I think we've been conditioned on the 101 freeway LOL. People took pics of us with our shirts and I screamed/clapped/sang on the top of my lungs like a crazy person. I'm pretty sure tears would have rolled down if DRH played his own song, but wrong concert. Sigh. He closed with 'Edge of Desire' and I was filled with jollies. <3333

Chinese class at 645a is rough, but entertaining classmates make it worthwhile. I regret hiding in the bathrooms and writing notes with Deborah all throughout Chinese school when we were younger.

Still can't believe my college career is officially over. How did 3 years fly by so quickly!? Reminiscing with Jihee made us both super nostalgic thinking back to the early days of apt 5320. SOOO much has happened over the past 3 years, and I have absolutely no regrets (surprisingly..). Thanks to everyone for the wonderful memories, and thanks to the best roommates in the entire world for making the past 3 years the best years OF MY LIFEEEE!

Conjoined beds with Elsie finally. We talked about it for 11wks before actually doing it. Coronado with roomies minus Hanna during finals week because she had to write a paper.

BFFs came Friday night and surprised me with a Tiffany's ring Saturday morning that brought me to tears. And everyone just stared at me with no reaction. Gotta love my bffs. Got ready for graduation with the help of all my friends and family. I seriously have the best friends/family in the whole entire world. Got yelled at for tearing up because my make up was gonna run. Blinged out my cap with rhinestones hehe. Bney's parents gave me the cutest graduation hello kitty doll. Commencement felt so surreal. Couldn't get my cap to stay on my head -_-. A million grad pics and then feasted back at the apartment. Can't say it enough, I have the best friends and family ever. Apparently gong gong was standing in the back throughout the entire ceremony even though he couldn't see anything. Loveeee.

Roomies all slept together on our last night in the living room. Jihee's graduation at 8a on Sunday morning and then Todai. Packed, napped, and then got ready for Jane's graduation at 5p followed by KBBQ. Sunday was a yummy day. Cried like a big baby when I had to finally leave though ): Apartment 2442 4life. Best apartment in the world, hands down.

I'm gonna miss so much. My beautiful roommates, my picture-filled walls, the 4 flights of stairs up to our apartment, the Ariba shuttle (a little), the massive campus (my calves will), Taco Tuesdays, thirsty Thursdays, UCEN, bpong anytime/anywhere, Gaysel, Rigoberto's, Convoy, Nozomi (omg I sound like such a fatass), and the list goes on. I'll be back!

I love getting random encouraging phonecalls from my family. Daddy called just to say he misses me and to wish me good luck on finals. Asked when I finished and I said Thursday. Then he says "alright, we're gonna get a party on after Thursday! Don't worry about anything else." That's love. I'm a really lucky girl.

Nut Up or Shut Up

There are times when I think it would be fun to be a guy, but Memorial Day weekend in Vegas is definitely not one of those times.

Left SD on Friday at 420p and got stuck in nasty congestion on the 15/215N. I warned everyone that I was going to be the most annoying passenger because I drank a lot of water. But geez, I swear I was the only one with a bladder! Arrived at Aria around 1030p and got ready in record time for Haze. Met up with Summer. Racial profiling by the bouncers on our boys, I swear. Girls got in easily and boys were stuck outside and gave up. Nothing too special about Haze. I was more excited to meet up with Sharon and get Fatburger instead.

Went to the pool on Saturday morning and the fertilizer stank was unbearable. Didn't help that the flower beds were right next to our heads -_- Stayed out for a bit before grabbing sandwiches at Jean Phillipe and grubbing out on leftovers in the room. Visited Jane's sister at The Trump and finished getting ready for Tao. Free entry for girls and $20 for guys-- BEST deal all weekend. $100 cover for guys at XS, like seriously?! I can't fathom why ANY guy would do that to himself! Open bar at Tao closed early because of how many people there were and we were PISSED, but made due. Some guy guessed I was either Korean or Filipino.. what's new.

Breakfast came in the form of a blue cup right when we woke up Sunday morning, but I was ok with it. Walked through Bellagio's pretty Spring decorations while going to Serendipity. The good music and margaritas made the wait to be seated much more tolerable. First real meal of the weekend and it was good. Too bad we couldn't even try to famous desserts though =(. It somehow turned time to get ready again but we couldn't get guys onto the list for Surrender so we just grabbed dinner at Lemongrass first. Then decided to go to XS even though I was scared shitless and traumatized from before -_-. Luckily, Julie's friend had a table and there was no problem getting 3 girls in. Boys wisely stayed behind and gambled instead. Met up with Jaymee and it was definitely the most exciting moment of the weekend. Tears of joy, literally. Sigh. Oh, and saw Keri Hilson perform and took pics with her-- IT'S NO BIGGIE. Then went to Rain in the Palms because Julie wanted to see Armins but Jane and I stayed at the slots and massaged our toh' up feets. Spotted MCD's as we were leaving and had to stop for McNuggets. Saw the sun rise as we taxi-ed back to Aria.

Woke up early Monday morning from being too freaking hot sleeping between Jane and Kyle and Kyle's snoring in double time. Packed up our bags and went to eat at the Aria buffet. Couldn't decide whether to leave for SD earlier or later knowing traffic was gonna blow either way. Decided just to go with it and it took nearly 2hrs to get to Primm. Again, I was the only human being in the car with a bladder. I don't understand how people don't need to pee! Did some shopping at Primm before getting back onto the freeway/parking lot and made a pit stop in Rowland to eat HEHE. Much needed fun time friends outside Tea Station while everyone ate at Phoenix. Didn't get back to SD til 3a. Ohboy.

Don't know why everyone is hating on this movie. I thought it was hilarious and beautiful and I was envious every single second of it. I was literally squirming and squealing and clapping and screaming the entire time. Yup, I'm one of those annoying girls. And I wore my SATC tank to represent too. Everyone should stop criticizing and just go watch the movie already. Lovelovelovelovelove! BUT I'm disappointed in Aidan and Big still pisses me off, even more so now that he's all good and whatnot.

Home yet again this weekend because I had to take care of business before I no longer have health insurance (damn you, Aetna), and a second round of interviews. It was an exceptionally good weekend back home so I'm not complaining at all, as if it's ever not. Family trip to the dentist on Friday, and I'm the only one who passed. No fillings, cavities, nada. Just teef cleaning yeeee! Snail mail made me sososo heppy-- Hello Kitty iPhone case from Alz in HK and graduation moola from relatives in NY and IL. Rekindled bromance at Elliot's because Castillo & Miggy are back from the Philippines for a few weeks. Freaking cute. Full day Saturday taking Sharon to visit Mansi, finally seeing baby Audrina and witnessing the most traumatizing breast-feeding/pumping experience of my life, saying bye to Jack before he leaves to Asia, and more celebration at John's with weird homemade Filipino liquor. New sunglasses on Sunday and Sushi On Fire in HB, failed attempts at DT Disney and Garden Walk. Fingers and toesies permanently crossed for Monday, and I'm praying to hear good news by the end of this week. Made it back for work/Art Walk and salsa dancing with Jane at Prospect Bar & Grill dressed as twinsies.

Why is it that when things are going nicely, I freak out. I pick out the flaws in the fine and do this ridiculous incomparable comparison. Why!? Like I've developed this sick-psychological masochist complex of some sort, and I don't like it. I don't like it at all. Instead of smiling and being giddy, I frown and question motives and doubtdoubtdoubt. What happened to good ol' reciprocation? Shitter.

630a morning call from Debo morning after Sungod telling me to pack and head home. McD's breakfast was the remedy while Elle drove back to Walnut. Lagged like I had never lagged before getting oil for my car, snacks at the market, and subway. Vroom vroom to Vegas. Zzyxzz or whatever street is my all-time favorite. Good freaking talks with my bff for 4hrs. Arrived at Caesar's and desperately needed a shower. $33 margarita that came in a mini-blender from Margaritaville (sucked). Got ready for dinner at Hyakumi-- bill came out to be $1018 and we only paid $15 for gratuity each person. IDK how ballers do it but DAMN. Compity comp comp left and right. O'Sheas and won $2 whoop! Woke up at 7a to drive back but stopped by Mad Greek to get my popo her favorite chicken. She was heppy. Love car chats. We are so similar it's a bit frightening.

Patty's surprise with champagne, cheese, and crackers-- classy! Suppliessss! Patty bet 2 shots that I wouldn't make the last cup and she chose poooorly. Snooki is the best partner ever. I make it and she drinks it. Love love love it.

Overcompensation takes its toll on me yet again. Kept the tradition alive with Irish Car Bombs and some soco courtesy of Ugelstad. Barely remember making it to B.o.B. and 13yr old Awu was ecstatic hearing Michelle Branch. Went to Marshall apt F6 and the rest was history. Somehow made it back to my place with a million+ people and kept the day going, although I vaguely recall of any of it and would remember even less if it weren't for photographic documentation and stories. Apparently Martin and I were blowing raspberries in each others' faces the entire shuttle ride and chased each other all around when we got to campus LOL. No recollection whatsoever, but totally something we would do. Lost everything that day (favorite earrings, sunglasses, $10, mind) but oh well. Drizzzzzy was mehh in my book, although I left 1 song in and insisted on stopping at the exit to catch a bit of houstalantavegas. Kinda wanted to hide for the rest of the weekend

Mama's Weekend

Took off for SF 3a Friday night/Saturday morning and arrived in Cupertino around 9a to drop off our bags before heading into the city. Daddy insisted on walking Cookie before leaving, while the rest of us just wanted to go mimis. Met up with everyone at nai nai's old folks home that she's been living at for the past 32yrs. My grandma is such a trooper. Relatives drove/flew in from everywhere-- SD, LA, Irvine, NY, Ohio, & Boston. Took the Muni to the restaurnt with the cousins and let the older folks take the car. Realized that me + Nick have very similar career paths as Alice + Chrissy-- Alice and Nick in education (senior admissions director at Columbia, which is prob the only reason I even got waitlisted there, and high school counselor) and Chrissy and I in marketing (christinewhuang.com). And we're an iphone family hehhh. All of my cousins are geniuses (Berkeley, Stanford, Amherst, USC, etc... meh UCSD).

90th birthday dinner at Old Shanghai in Chinatown, and mama was pissed that we paid $600+ for shitty food. My aunt brought her own table confetti and compiled photo albums of past times-- we all had good laughs looking through them (Nick is the big-headed baby and I'm the big-bowed one). Union Square for some Taiwanese/American cultural festival with the worst emcees ever, and some shopping with the brudda. I'm pretty sure we were a spectacle at Mel's Diner-- big Chinese family of 12 celebrating our grandma's 90th bday dinner, and they still brought out the chocolate cake, balloons, and a free t-shirt. Hugs & kisses and plans to see each other soon for Alice's wedding before heading back to Cupertino.

Car chat with the familia was endearing yet annoying at times. Nevertheless, it's all outta love. Mama expressed some emotions towards whom I should/should not date, and it was quite interesting/insightful.

May Day

I hadn't journalled in almost a month, I'm 4wks behind on GG, and there's only 4wks left of the quarter. What's going on?! Tried going to Hash House with Elsie and Hanna the first of May, but the 1.5hr wait convinced us to go to Bread & Cie down the street. Went home for an interview and then back for Meg & Dia and Taco Tuesday at Fred's. Cinco de Mayo bowling was fun cause it had been forever since we were all together.

Iron Man 2 midnight premiere was truly an experience. We filled an entire row of talkative Asian kids passing along popcorn, jerky, and sugar-free banana nut muffins. The goosey & icee only got passed along halfway down, and we all knocked out minutes after seeing my big face on the big screen. Spotting myself in the bottom right corner at the Stark Expo is one thing, but full frontal closeup? Soooo unnecessary. I'm pretty sure they were playing the multicultural card, since the black girl next to me was cheesin' it real big too.

Wristband switching at Bear Garden. Charlie Hunter at the Loft with a buncha jazz music lovers. Then busted a major mission by driving straight to Rside for Vivian's bday party and only staying a couple hours (and leaving long before the fighters arrived). Was really nice catching up with HH boys whom I hadn't seen in ages. Howard claims he has pictures of all of us at his 10th bday party, me wearing a red flannel shirt. I'm scared to piss him off lest he decides to ruin us all and publicly post those.

Santa Barbara last weekend for Matt's 21st. I love the whole Mexico-esque atmosphere, but I don't think I could ever live there. The mold and moisture everywhere would drive me crazy. But I would probably get really good at riding a bike! And I would want to try everything on the menu at Bagel Cafe. Nom nom nom!

Marie Digby at The Loft on Wednesday. Probably the most excited I've been out of all the events we've put on. She's sooooo good live! The girl next to me insisted on singing along to almost every song and it was really becoming a problem. I think she finally left because Jane and I were giving her dirty looks.

I wish I could fly. Then I would save so much money on gas and I could avoid traffic and I would be very happy. I want a Toothless! I want to train a dragon!!

Admit Day is so cute. Students/parents are always so excited. SUPER cute parents actually came out to the 80s dance (which had a terribly low turnout.. sigh). And the parents were dancing the whole time! OMG it was sooo cute! The cute dad was doing the twist and shimmy and everything. SO adorable. My future husband MUST be as fun and free-spirited as that. Friday was mama's birthday. Came home early and went sunglasses shopping with her for 2hrs. My mama is so fannnnny. She wants a wii fit for her birthday, and she's been reminding me and my brother for quite some time now. So we go to Best Buy, Target, and Wal-Mart, and they're all sold out of the wii console. When we tell her she goes "Where is my peedeo game?! Why are there so many birthdays!" LOL. I told her there were a lot of teenage boys with birthdays recently, but I highly doubt that any 50+ year olds took her peedeo game.

My grandparents never cease to make me smile. Popo is the cutest thing in the world. She keeps trying to give me jewelry that I really don't want to wear at the moment, mainly because I would look ridiculous wearing all of her gold bling. But I deny her in the nicest way possible, of course. Popo and gong gong came to church on Easter Sunday, and they even got dressed up! Cutest thing ever. At lunch my popo goes "Mei, don't you think I look nice today?" And I say of course! Your outfit is so cute! And she says "Then how come you don't ask to take a picture with me?!" FRIDAY- Nick took me to the airport and walked me through as far as he could- basically up to the point where they asked for a boarding pass. I was all excited because I had 4 seats all to myself! And then this girl comes up to me and asks me to trade seats with her because her & her friend wanted an entire row. So my dumbass traded and ended up with only 2 seats. WTF, right? Talk about being too damn nice -_-.

SATURDAY- Landed in LHR and tried to follow Erika's simple directions of getting on the Piccadilly line and to meet up with her. Too bad the Piccadilly line didn't run last weekend! I was scared shitless, and followed the security man's directions and got on the Heathrow Express and then switched 2 lines. Took 2.5hrs to get to Russells Square, but luckily Erika was waiting right when I got out! EEP shuper exciting! Still got it. 13.5hrs of transportation clearly doesn't phase me. Got to our hostel, got ready to go out, stupidly went out with the bare legs and got hollered & ni-hao-ed at incessantly. Had to remind ourselves that we were in London and not Cancun. Clubbing with vultures & ridiculously expensive drinks. HAAAAAAAAAVE you met Angela? OMG funniest thing. of. my. life. Lost Erika's phone. Blabbed outta my ass about all of the architecture as we drunkenly walked back to our hostel.

SUNDAY- Stuffy ass room at the hostel. Barf of boots. Missed breakfast because we were too busy being sick. Rode the chube one stop down just to walk for 1.5+hrs looking for the Holiday Inn, where we ended up back at the first stop. I really need to learn to pack lighter because that damn country has no lifts, and the ones that they have are broken. My right arm got so muscular. Shopped at Oxford St. while waiting for Steph and CC to come. Top Shop! New Look! EEEEP! Hurried back to meet the girls and had dinner. Got ready to go sight seeing. Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, a buncha other pretty buildings I forget the names of, rode the London Eye. Feet broke. Dinner was disappointing. Went to a pub but decided against it and got a bottle of champagne on the way to the hotel. WAY OUT WAY OUT WAY OUT!

MONDAY- Woke up super early to catch the Eurostar to Paris. Underground trains make your ears pop and really hurt. Arrived in Pari to be greeted by scary army men holding big guns. Got dirty looks for wearing sandals, but honestly, my feet hurt! I'm beginning to think pinky toes just don't belong on my feet. They don't fit anywhere! Everything was in French, and we quickly picked up some broken language. Sortie, merci, escuse moi, pon su (I learned to say bandaid because I had to ask for so many for my blisters). Made our way to St. Christopher's Inn and it was the shit. Met UCLA sisters with a bunch of mutual friends. Champs de Elysees to find the Citibank that was nowhere to be found. Broken broken broken feet. Grabbed Orientale pizza on the way home and tried to make the pub crawl. Spent too long getting ready and pre-gaming that we missed the pub crawl, but we met some fun German girls on the way. We all decided to venture together in search for a fun disco. Ended up back at Champs de Elysees (ugh) and got to Disco Queen, which turned out to be a gay club that cost 20 euro. Yeah, no thanks. So we ended up at McD's and taught the Germans to dip fries in ice cream. Culture shocking for them.

TUESDAY- 3.5hr walking tour. All the painful walking was totally worth it. Saw everything that we learned about in AP art history and had the time of my life. Walked to the Eiffel Tower afterward, which was much further than it appeared. Screamed and gasped and clapped and jumped when we finally got there. Photoshoot. Erika picked up a boyfriend. Fell in love with Pari. Searched for the (%$!@^) Moulin cafe for a very long time. Had dinner and hurried back. SUPER crammed on the metro because everyone was going home from work. Butt ticklers. Excuse me, could you please stop touching my friend's ass? MADE THE PUB CRAWL. Strongest 'Long Island' that was definitely NOT a Long Island. Got super hooked up with drinks. Busted the biggest mission to find Club 67 because Leo had to take drunk girls back home. Ended up BACK AT CHAMPS DE ELYSEES (hate hate hate that street). Walked up and down for a good 2hrs asking for directions and wandering. Merci for nothing! Finally found it and did da dencing. Bisous everywhere. Taxi-ed back home with 4 vewy tired girls.

WEDNESDAY- Went into the Louvre and my camera died after my first 2 pictures of the Nike of Samothrace. Sad sad sad. Cheese & wine at the Louvre Cafe with Steph. Marveled at all the beautiful artwork. Left after not too long and went to the Basilica Sacre-Coeur. View from the top was AMAZING-- looked like Greece! Felt like we were a part of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Inside of the Basilica was just as amazing. Stained glass windows, vaulted ceilings, people praying everywhere. So beautiful. Then went to Montmarte/Moulin Rouge area to get baguette sandwiches, croissants, macaroons, and other yummy pastries. Hurried back to the hostel to get our luggage and catch the Eurostar back to London. Ciao Pari! Got to London and it was raining. Got to Equity Point hostel and it was nice also. Sleeping naked Australian man in our room-- no biggie. Had Indian food and it was our best meal thus far. Packed up and anticipated depressing departures.

THURSDAY- Allocated 3hrs for travel and check in. STILL WASN'T ENOUGH. Said bye to Erika again (that bitch) and made my way to LHR. Freaking Piccadilly line took long as hell, line for returning my oyster card took even longer. Tried to check-in my luggage and I got a Madam, you've missed your flight. Your check in closed half an hour ago. EXCUUUUSE ME? Yeah. Cry cry cry cry cry. Talked to support and got charged $200 for missing my flight and getting on stand-by for the next flight out 5hrs later. Most depressing stay at LHR. Had to sell my John Mayer tickets and cross my fingers hoping to get on the next flight. Luckily my name was called and I knocked out right when I got on the plane. Woke up drooling to realize that we hadn't even taken off yet -_-. My TV didn't work so I couldn't even watch movies to make the flight more enjoyable. Resorted to journalling for 2+hrs and nexted every single JM & DRH song on my ipod- which is very irritating since it's practically every other song. I didn't even wanna think about what he was playing at the concert ): Finally landed and wished I was back in Europe. John Mayer and I are currently fighting. I refuse to listen to any of his and DRH songs. I don't know how long this is going to last, but I'm waiting for him to apologize.

Finals week = destress events for you guys = stressful week for UCEN. Chapsticks & love notes being handed out Thursday of finals week!

I'm officially done with all of my winter quarter classes (hence morning gyming with Elsie and blogging/online shopping at this time of day). Time to put away the ballet slippers (boo!) and bust the jazz shoes back out (yay!). Went to Bookstar to get a new journal and came across London & Paris moleskines tehe! My new moleskine journal makes me excited beyond belief, but now I can't decide which pen to use! Yes, I need to coordinate different pens with different journals; I'm weird like that. I have a nasty cough from kicking my blankets off a few nights ago, and I'm really annoyed. My immune system is shit.

Had dinner & watched Alice in Wonderland in 3D with Jon (thank you!). Acknowledged, again, that I'm scared of everything in life. Reflected back on when I cried in the SPMS band room to Mr. Acciani and others because I was scared to go to hs, (nearly) cried within the yellow walls of OSL to Jon about being scared to move and go to college in SD, and again over ramen and sushi about graduating and facing the real world. Wah!

I came across fashiontoast at work this week while searching for a story to write about for fashion in SD. I was immediately obsessed and clicked through 100+ pgs over the past couple days. Disclaimer: strong urges to shop are inevitable. I'm gonna have to pay a visit to the Goodwill down the street the next time I'm back home.

BFF Jean's 21st bday celebration in Claremont was funsies for everyone, especially the beautiful bday girl who woke up blue as a smurf with several sexual symbols in hard-to-reach places. Cutest little korean manager demanding to take sake bombs with us. I felt like a proud parent switching roles with Jean and watching Debo take (and ENJOY) the bbong; before she got all itchy that is. Then went to another one of Claremont's (in)famous on-campus parties the next night. I still can't get over the taboo of partying outside of lecture halls and dorms-- it's just a foreign concept. But they always have a strange effect on me.. gahdamn.

Family Matters

It was one of those days where you hear that little voice telling you to do something, and in my case, it was to call home. It was bothering me all day, but I was so busy with everything that I blew it off until I was finally prompted to call late at night because I had a question. All was well with giggles until mama dropped the bomb and I made an emotional 180 degree switch from laughter to tears. I flipped a B and made frantic phone calls, all of which reassured me that everything was fine and I didn't need to worry. But still. I was so uneasy and upset with myself for not calling earlier. Hmph.

I finally told my parents that I'm going to London and the conversation went something like this.

me: so, I'm going to London over spring break..
mama: I don't care. I'm going to the moon.
Nick: mom.. she's being serious.
mama: SUH MUH? you bought your ticket already?!
me: uh huh..
mama: sigh.
daddy: sigh.

Mm, probably shoulda listened to everyone and told them earlier. Oopsies? But it's all good. Mama told me to make my trip worthwhile and do some business when I'm over there LOL. She totally would. I love it.

I have the best brother in the world. We sat together for 3+ hours resume building & applying for jobs (mainly him editing my resume and sending me links of potential jobs and internships). And I realize that we're more similar than I had expected all the time! He's able to crack his hips like I do, and he's the only one who actually remembers this song! What a relief.

Chinese New Year celebration with the familia, minus daddy though because he was in SF ): A smart thief would rob a Chinese person during Chinese New Year and get all those red envelopes. Watched Valentine's Day and saw myself in the background! woot!

Valentine's Day spent the best way possible-- with lots of love and lots of bubbly. Ra HH and Good Times for Allen's 25th! I was smiling real big when it hit midnight.

I love Monday holidays. & BFF dinners.

I honestly went to only 1 academic class this entire week. Week 7 always has an odd effect on me and I end up going to work more than school.. Oops. Jen & Jack visited right before Jen leaves to Shanghai ): El Torito's for Taco Tuesday = mmmm.

Went home for less than 24hrs this weekend, what a tease. Baby shower was suuuuuper cute & us college kids all ended up winning prizes.

Late-night bowling led to the domino effect of the 3 musketeers.

Henry's 23rd was a night of splendor, majesty, & funness. It was the beginning of a fun-filled weekend of hanging out with old school friends. Guest appearances from Andrew Garcia & Ryan Gosling! Amigos from Los Molinos Elementary to SMPS to DBHS made my witto heart all warm & fuzzy. We had our own cast of the Jersey Shore LOL toooooo much fun.

Chris came to visit (love you) & we attempted to get brunch at The Cottage, but the wait was going to be 1.5hrs so we ended up just going to Bernini's Bistro, which was still really good. Drove around downtown and realized that I really don't appreciate living in La Jolla as much as I should. Phil's for dinner with the rest of the Los Molinos/ HH crew. It was so good catching up & reminiscing about earlier days when we sang the presidents song & danced to Britney Spears for the talent show. I miss rolling down that grass hill & carving our names into wooden jungle gym ):

Overcompensation at its finest, but I really hate getting the 'flu,' especially on the second day of my new internship. Oopsies.. Restaurant Week at Roy's was so yummyyyyy! 2442 has a long to-do list, and we're determined to do them all. Martin and I are currently 6-0 baby WOOT WOOT dream team! There really is no place like home: bbay packed like a nightclub (fights included), babysitting Mei 2 with bff and si-do-be-ri's & cream, and venting about anything and everything over some chirashi & kirin-- it doesn't get much better than that.

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit it, but I've actually jumped on the Jersey Shore bandwagon and watched the entire season this past weekend. I have so many emotions about this show, it's ridiculous. I hate The Situation, Snooki is a shitshow, and Pauly D's head looks like a McD's order of fries. I long to see the fist pumping in action, and the GTL schedule cracks me up. I want the duck phone!!

What a loooooong week with work, a cocu midterm, and the Parachute & Safety Suit concert. I got pulled over for the first time IN MY LIFE for not making a complete stop on Voigt and got pulled over in Hopkins. Oh geez I was scared outta my pants. The officer was nice enough to let me go with just a warning, at which point I started crying like big bebe and was barely able to conjure up words to thank him past my sniffles. Thank the Lawd I didn't get another ticket because we all know very well that I ain't got no moneyzz for that. I'm not sure if I would call it a good or bad week, but I'm just glad that it's over.

Coworkers made for good company while 'working' the Jump Off at Round Table on Friday. Good DJ, a few pitchers, & 'Dr. Phil Good' made it a good day.

MLK weekend called for Capital Seafood, breaking in Jean's new apartment, and being extra appreciative for my warm & comfy bed back home. I ate dinner with my family 2 nights in a row at home, which has (sadly) become a really rare thing for us. Mommy & Daddy got some new fishies for the tank, so now my one-eyed goldfish has friends!

The rain kept me under covers for the majority of Sunday, and I Am Sam brought me to tears like no other. I've really gotta stop watching sad movies before going to bed because my eyes get really puffy and swollen. I thought it was raining sideways today while walking from the Galleria market to my car with my umbrella getting blown in all directions and my thighs freezing through my jeans. After cherryontop, I got an email that read

What a day. 2 interviews, 3 classes, and I'm exhausted. I really wish these internships were paid, but I guess I really shouldn't be selfish. Fingers crossed! Week 1 went by relatively quickly, and visitors made anticipating the weekend all the more worthwhile. My hamper reeks of humo & I got sick over the weekend, but it's all bueno. I love Jason/Allen's hoes&bros. "Can't be a hoe if you're taller than the pimp," which includes the sashquatches, and "teachers as neighbors" makes it impossible to get some ventilation in the house because we can't open the windows. I was just told what a 'chickenhead' was, and I'm highly offended!

I just purchased my plane ticket to London today, and I might as well start selling body parts. But spring break is looking oh-so-appealing right about now. London & John Mayer! I consider it all the best motivation. This quarter needs to speed up.

Winter break has come to an end. The last week consisted of Irvine, kbbq & lowend theory, 2yr old bday party that made me reconsider wanting 6 kids, Avatar, and substantial talks. CC told us the FUNNIEST stories about girls named Shithead (sha-teed) and Shadynasty (sha-dynasty). NYE at Allan Tea's. Counted down and kissed the cups/bottles/girls.

1. GRADES! If I can manage to maintain the same GPA as this past quarter, my life would be wonderful. But of course, that is nearly impossible. So I will just continue to try my best. GAH!
2. Relax. DGAF & really mean it.
3. Focus on the important things in life instead of lalala fluffy stuff.
4. Don't ditch class, and stay awake in all of them!
5. Prioritize things better.
6. Stop being stupid & getting fooled so easily.
7. MONEY MANAGEMENT HOLY CRAP.
8. Forgive anyone I have resentment towards.
9. Learn geography (because my brother thinks I am super stupid), and learn directions better (because I barely know my way around brea).

I think I've failed most of these resolutions excluding maybe numbers 1 & 8. I'm still GAF-ing, falling asleep in class, slowly racking up that Chase bill (yikes), and getting lost everywhere.

So this year I will make more practical/achievable resolutions-- which is something I probably say every year anyway.
Prioritize & BE a priority.
Graduate with at least a 3.5 GPA.
Find an internship/job for pre-/post- graduation (makes me sooo nervous).
$$$$$
Dance every quarter.
Utilize gym memberships/new running shoes.

To watch movies, eat, and spend quality time with the best friends & family in the world.

Watched Stepford Wives with the girls and the feminist side of me started seeping out haha. Ra Sushi Happy Hour just isn't the same without our tradition, and Paranormal Activity was surprisingly not as scary as I had anticipated it to be, but that's probably because it was a different ending? Spent Christmas Eve eating lasagna and watching The Devil Wears Prada with Jean and then HIMYM with the loved ones at Elliot's. Ate with la familia on Christmas day and it was nice, but I did miss my parents.

Did some after-xmas shopping and had our Christmas Secret Santa trading/potluck/Erika's surprise going-away party at mi casa. I CAN'T BELIEVE I GOT A FAKE GIFT FOR SECRET SANTA. Erika straight up wrapped a box of her PJ's and pretended to be my SS even though my REAL SS is in Taiwan (STEPH OR JEN? WHO IS IT??) Hmph. CC and I are just going to have to be patient..

We had sooo much food, and we surprisingly finished most of it thanks to ahem.. The night was really successful and it made me heppy. I threatened everyone to bring real food so we had some actual sustenance and not just all desserts, and we ended up having no desserts HAHA sorry. Everything was good except for "dien hwaaaaa" (oopsies) and the missing itouch the next day (GIVE IT BACK IF YOU TOOK IT). Thanks to everyone who came to surprise the beezy & esp. to those who helped clean up (my driveway looked like 'the streets of LA' with all the cigarette butts). I freaking fell down the stairs going to my room (HAHA) and my body ached like CRAZY the next day. I have a fatty bruise on my lower back now too =(.

I cried so much watching My Sister's Keeper last night that my eyes were puffy all day. Mommy & Daddy came home from Taiwan today and they brought me lots of lovely hello kitty goodies! My poor mama fell at the airport in Taipei and ended up needing to be wheel-chaired at the HK airport and LAX. I couldn't help but laugh when we picked them up and she was smiling as she was sitting there in the wheelchair (I only laughed because she was smiling and I knew there would be a funny story to it). I guess we could both fall on our butts on the same weekend, even if we're halfway across the world from each other-- like mother like daughter! Went to Empire tonight and realized that I was the only one who liked the 'urinal cakes' and I need to work on my O's..

Big Bear & USB

Went to Big Bear from Friday-Sunday. I was sad there was no falling snow, but the fresh snow on the ground was still vewy pretty. I took a freezing shower the first night because the water heater wasn't on yet-- dumbest decision ever. Lots of fire, burgers, & movies. I still wanna go snowboarding at least once before winter break ends!

We had a USB 05-06 reunion/potluck at Ryan's Sunday and it was so good seeing everyone and catching up. We reminisced about how USB ruled the school and how everyone loved/hated us. We talked about how those purple rugby's & yellow jackets gave us VIP status throughout campus, which they really did. We discussed how amazing our rallies were and even threw out new ideas HAHA. USB-er's will always be USB-er's. Half of us were RA's/HA's and the others were a part of AS or still planning events (UCEN, baby!) AWWWW good times. Nothing beats that purple USB room and all those drawers/cabinets that we used as lockers for as long as we stayed at db. We will forever love food & taking pictures-- and may we never have to choose between the two.

Celebrated the end of finals/beginning of winter break by going to Vegas. Thank goodness Southwest did that promotion because we flew round-trip for only $72! Flying is soooo much faster, whew. Landed in Vegas around 3p with Patty, Sharon, and Susannah and we headed to the Palazzo first to drop off our baggage and get some food (my luggage was the biggest one out of the entire group even though Sus packed for Oregon & Sharon packed for NorCal..). Waited for everyone to arrive and then headed up to our rooms. Claimed beds, called first shower, and started getting ready for TAO. I was introduced to the Lunchbox, and I like to call it the Almond Croissant. SOOO yummy! Met up with some others and headed to TAO-- overrated in my opinion. Did da dencing and left pretty early to get some in-n-out HAHA. It was a contagiously depressing/funny night and the rain just added to the mood, which could explain why Patty and I had my iphone in the middle of both of us blasting Battle Studies. We basically sang ourselves to sleep and jumped up when the chorus hit-- cause I don't belong to anyone, nobody belongs to me. We were oh so DRAMATICCC LOL.

The next morning I had my own walk of shame (it seemed like) over to the Trump to meet up with Bney and the others because it was her BIG 21st!! I LOVE YOU, BEEEEEEEEEEF! Then ate with the others and played some BJ (got greedy and ended up only winning $5 -_-). Went back to the rooms and got dolled up again for XS. It was one of the ONLY nights in my LIFE that I decided not to bring my phone out with me and it was a terrible decision. Boys found the supply room open and stole robes and claimed to be doctors "trust me, I'm a doctor!" Stupid purple asshole bouncers at XS were not friendly and I left by myself with no phone. I guess I was never taught not to talk to strangers, and I gave everyone a scare ): SORRY! Patty even put on the mama outfit and talked to security and then compared herself to Jesus the Shepherd and me as the lost sheep that wandered away HAHAHA. I'm so sorry to have scared everyone =X

Our eating schedules were all messed up and days basically consisted of one meal and then late-night grubbing. Ate Mandalay Bay Buffet (no bueno) and then had a Jamaican sauna in the restroom lol. And that's when Sunanda told us about how she saw a shirt that said I HEART TO FART and I laughed forever. Had fun in the rooms and FINALLY got our Sonics! I really don't remember how we got there, but somehow we were all eating and I was really enjoying the food. Photoshoots in the bathroom and tipping the taxi driver extra for accommodating so many passengers in the backseat. Patty and Susannah said I yelled FASHOOOO right before I knocked out cold on the bed HAHA.

Caught our flight back to SD on Tuesday and Martin picked us up with the CUTEST sign at the airport that read "WU LEE." So adorable. Packed up basically my entire room and drove back home. I really don't know how to pack lightly, but whatever. Overall, a good weekend. Viva LV, but I don't think I'll be back for a while.. TFH.

Getting pampered after finals was niiiiice. Ladies at the nail salon were hilarious. One lady took a picture of Patty's hair because she really liked the style, and the other gave me a sympathetic arm squeeze because I told her I didn't have a boyfriend HAHAHA. We had some yummyyyyyyyy food at the potluck. Susannah and I ate straight from the tub of salad a couple hours into the night (Martin called us rabbits). White Elephant was funsies, and my gift was hot shiiiiit! Even though I don't care much for The Office, I knew others would like it fshofshofsho! There was some heavy chasing after the Jenga, and I got a nifty scarf/tablecloth from Sharon hehehe. Good start to Winter Break!

I just finished writing my last final paper and I feel goooooooooood! I don't necessarily feel good about the paper I wrote, but I feel good that it's all OVER!! I'm really going to go cross-eyed from writing all these gahdamn papers. I can't believe I just finished my last Fall Quarter. GAH I don't wanna think about it.

During this finals week, I have consumed an unhealthy amount of coffee, listened to Battle Studies on repeat a million times, and nearly peeled off all the nail polish from my fingers.

But I'm DONE DONE DONE DONE DOOOOOONE! It's time for Winter Break! Which means, POTLUCK/WHITE ELEPHANT TONIGHT, VEGAS TOMORROW, SECRET SANTA'S, AND GOING HOOOOME! I'm suuuuuuuuuuper excited. Now it's time to get pampered.

Elsie had us all fill out her survey about whether we thought cheating physically or cheating emotionally was worse. I answered EMOTIONALLY in a heartbeat, without a doubt in my mind. And I figured that girls all naturally answered EMOTIONALLY because we're so much more emotionally-attached to things/people whereas guys are more attached physically. And Elsie said that it was true for the most part, with a few exceptions.

AND THEN, the topic came up again when I was talking to Emily and she said she had initially answered emotionally, but then Jason brought this WHOLE NEW PERSPECTIVE into light and said cheating sexually is worse than cheating emotionally because being physical with someone is done by choice, whereas falling in love with someone is out of your control (given you believe in fate/destiny/all that nice stuff). And then I got super confused/throw off because that went against everything I had believed to begin with! SIGH. Elsie's research project has turned into my research project lol.

I tend to pee/eat/clean/think/daydream/journal/blog a lot more than usual during finals week because I don't want to study.

It took 3+hours to drive home from San Diego on Thanksgiving Day. Good thing I wasn't driving because road-raging Awu would not have been very pretty. Thanksgiving dinner at home was yum yum yum with mama's turkey recipe that daddy cooked, and of course, sashimi and shrimp (what do you expect, we're Chinese). Daddy and Nick knocked out by 830p and mommy and I were laughing at their heavy snoring from 2 different rooms. I napped for maybe 30min before heading over to CC's to play bpong with some oldies.
We got some Tommy's and headed over to Best Buy to meet up the boys in the freezing cold. Allen pitched a tent since Tuesday and was still 30th in line-- the people first in line said they pitched their tent on Sunday. Those crazies. People were selling chorizo breakfast burritos and bacon-wrapped hotdogs up and down the line, and I thought it was the most genius thing in the world. Doors finally opened at 4a, and we rushed in and got our goodies. I got myself a new Sony Vaio lappy, and it's about time because this POS Toshiba has been pissing me off so much lately. I can't wait to switch over during winter break. After Best Buy we headed over to Irvine Spectrum and did some damage over there. Finished all of our shopping by around noon and went home with heavy bags and achey bodies. I took a 6hr nap and woke up feeling like a brand new person. More shopping on Saturday life reevaluations on Sunday..

Back to reality on Sunday and celebrated Susannah's 22nd on Monday like it was my own, sigh. Something needs to change. Now I have a paper and a final due tomorrow, so of course I would think that it is the perfect time to do this! McDonald's iced coffee will get me through the night, I'm sure of it.

It feels like there were a bajillion birthdays within the past couple months. Went to Vegas for one night to celebrate Eric's 22nd and stayed at The Palazzo. 11+ hrs of driving in 2 days = craziness. It was a bad idea going out the night before having to wake up at 7am to leave SD for Walnut. Drives to Vegas always consist of playing silly car games (and always the same ones). Truth or Dare made us all anticipate finding Eric's target for the night, and Eric was really excited to see all of the girls act out our dares. Checked in around 430p. The rooms were niiiice and the beds were very comfy. The bathrooms doors didn't lock though-- problem. Met up with others also staying at The Palazzo and went down to eat dinner at the Grand Lux Cafe. After dinner we all got ready for XS and I was having scary flashbacks of The Bank from Arthur's birthday lol. We were the first ones in XS and got out of paying cover fshooo! Anddddddd, the rest is history. Walked back barefoot again, but I didn't claim to be Jesus and didn't walk on water, thankfully.

Then Sushi Deli on the night of Eric's birthday. Their happy hour SUCKS now, hmph! Notice Eric's panda face from being caked.

Meteor Shower & Thanksgiving Potluck

Went up to Mt. Soledad to watch the meteor shower. It was more like a meteor drizzle. Or like, meteor drops. We only saw a handful of shooting stars, and it was beyond freezing. I was selfish and wished on every single shooting star. I probably wished on a couple airplanes also.

Thanksgiving potluck at Steph's apartment. YUMMYYYYYYYY. Good food and good company, what more could you ask for?

Battle Studies on repeattttt!

Martin's 22nd surprise birthday this past weekend turned into the ultimate dance party. We surprised him at his apartment will all of us each holding a cupcake with a candle, and it ended up looking like some sort of prayer ceremony lol. A bunch of HH friends came down to surprise him and it was super cute. I always end up getting caked even if it's not my birthday ): Martin was getting so cuhrazeee that he changed through his entire wardrobe and resorted to just taking it all off HAHA. Feliz Cumpleanos, mi mejor amigo de Argentina!

Luminance at The Loft followed with Lydia Paek, AJ Rafael, and Gabe Bondoc (that JawKnee guy is hardly worth mentioning, sorry pobrecito). Lydia Paek covered DRH- For You with Victor Kim on the guitar and I was swinging my legs and bobbing my head the entire time. AJ Rafael brought Andrew Garcia up to do a duet with him and I was squealing like a little girl. Too bad Gabe Bondoc didn't perform Suitcases & Travelbags-- I was really looking forward to that.

I love how Martin's birthday and Veteran's Day are so close to each other because that just gives us more excuse to keep celebrating. Erika hitched a ride with BJ down to SD and Elliot came to visit also. Erika and I got greedy (like always) and ordered 1 of everything on Sushi Deli's Happy Hour menu, but we shared with Elliot and only allowed him to buy drinks. $1 sakes & pints = SOOO STEWWWPID LOL.

As if that wasn't enough fun for Week 7, I decided to go to Riverside on Thursday since I have no classes on Friday. I got the hater bpong-ers of Rside to admit that "SD's got game" hehehehe. I wanted to attend class SOO badly on Friday, but waking up was just TFH. Sigh.. maybe some other time.

Now I'm back home and it's more chilly that I had expected it to be. I got my brotha to download the Words with Friends app so that we could play Scrabble against each other, and he beat me by 200+ pts the first game!! (add me! username: AWU). Watched 2012 with Deborah, Vivian, Elliot, and Allen last night. I got a major neck cramp from sitting in the 5th row. It seems like the world is going to end soon. Chinese people are going to rule, and we all better move to Africa asap. I can't wait til Thanksgiving. Mommy says her friend taught her how to make a turkey, and I'm excited to see how it's going to turn out (my mama is a TERRIBLE cook). And of course, BLACK FRIDAY BLACK FRIDAY BLACK FRIDAY !!!!

3 Halloween costumes in 1 year. Longest Halloween ever, but fun nonetheless.

It started off with Jess' birthday and her early costume party.

Then Halloween party in rside. I love my bestfriends and I hate cops. My seasons of love = BFFS '97 til foreverrrrr. Summer is my favorite season, so I guess I have nothing to complain about.

Birthdays seem to get better with every year. I hope I'm not hyping myself up for the future, but I just really like birthdays. I can't believe I'm no longer a teenager. My mama says I've still got that teenager attitude though; maybe that's just become a part of me now. Great friends and family make everyday special, especially birthdays. Thank you all for everything.

30+ kids celebrating Arthur's 21st in Vegas (thank you, Mr. Chen). We looked like the biggest Asian tour group with our White tour guide. We played some car games and bought some yards when we got there. Stayed at The Mirage with a big suite and 2 extra rooms. My room mistakenly got club-ready before dinner the first night, and this lady asked if we were hookers at the Belaggio buffet. Too much goose, belv, henny, & patron in the suite before heading out to The Bank. Claimed to be Kanye West because 'Jesus Walks' on water while I was walking back barefoot from the club. Uh Ooh..

The second day was less of a shitshow, for some of us at least. Melted by the pool, ate at Grand Lux Cafe, wanted to swim so badly at XS, and Sapphire was sad.

No more internship at PMG. The interns outing had a low turnout, but that was fine with us because that meant more for us on Steve's tab fshoooo! Bye bye Wild Rivers Street Team. Where is our Nirve bike?!

Erika World's big 2-0! Counted down at Beer Station and spent the day at Disneyland. Disneyland is sooo tiring, but super fun nonetheless.

I was dressed as a cheerleader at 6am on the set of Heroes. It was probably the worst shoot of my life. 100 degree weather wearing the most uncomfortable outfit ever. The cheerleaders were not very peppy. Hayden Panetierre is very short.

Dodger Dogs, Ra Sushi, SF.

Dodgers vs. Cardinals game 1. Made shirts and seduced the lady security guard so we could sneak in Elliot. We lost, but got some good Dodger Dogs and gave out a few dirrrrrty numbers.

Ra Sushi's happy hour is the best thing ever. It's quite dangerous though.

My baby Jean left me for 4 months to study abroad in Denmark.

I went to visit my grandmama in San Francisco with my familia. I haven't been to SF since our USB trip in high school. Good times. SF is so cold! I could never be a nor-cal girl. I appreciate my hot socal weather even more.
